Classes will start on Wednesday 23rd September at 7.30pm with the last class before Christmas on Wednesday 9th December which will include the Christmas party. 

Hard to believe we are looking at the start of another year of dancing. The Blairgowrie Scottish Country Dance Club is the oldest Scottish Country Dance Club in Blairgowrie. This will be a very special year for Blairgowrie Scottish Country Dance Club as it will turn 80 years old in 2027 having started in 1947. 

We are a very welcoming group, meeting in the Lifeplus Church Hall on William Street in Blairgowrie on Wednesdays at 7.30pm. We have various social events to augment our weekly classes: a Christmas Party, and other events through the year. 

​Our teacher is Alan Grant who walks the dances through several times using CD's for class nights. We would love to have you join us. If you are looking at this web site you are likely aware that Scottish Country Dancing ticks most of the boxes for a healthy life: it provides exercise; keeps you fit; it provides mental stimulation as well as the physical effort; it is inexpensive; it is very social and all ages and abilities can participate. All you need to do is turn up, a partner is not required!
